I am a passionate, exuberant, and a genuinely happy human being. |
Throughout my life, I have experienced a multitude of unimaginable blessings. Not because I waited for doors to open or for opportunities to present themselves, but because I charged full speed ahead, was proactive in my life choices, and was a successful advocate for my dreams and desires.
I have been a competitive athlete since the age of 4 and have devoted my life to family, community, health, sports, travel, volunteer work, and working with the disABLED. Though youth club swimming is where my insatiable quench for competition began, as an adult, I have been fortunate enough to compete in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, snowboard cross, and open water swimming. My adoration for sport has engendered my career path focused on working with athletes and their families. My love for sports has carried me across the United States and around the world searching for the next rush of adrenaline. I have swam on four different continents and have competed in the daring Alcatraz open water swim. For four seasons, I worked with the Brazil Olympic snowboard cross team serving as physical prep in Brazil, Chile, and the United States. This was one of the greatest adventures of my life! Originally from south Texas, at the age of 17, I enlisted in the United States Army and served our country for four years before moving to the mountains of Colorado. Throughout my time in the Rockies, I have worked with adaptive athletes and intellectually disabled adults, on and off the snow. To enhance my career path, I have received a BA in Psychology from The University of Texas at San Antonio, a MA in Sport Performance Psychology from The University of the Rockies, and am currently pursuing a PsyD in Sport Performance Psychology from the University of the Rockies. Additionally, I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through NSCA. I am proficient in Spanish, German, and Portuguese. I am delighted that you are here and look forward to working with you! |
